About Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach traces back to 1910, when L.H. Hamilton and Chester Beach founded the Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Company in Racine, Wisconsin, built around Beach's lightweight universal motor for household appliances. In 1990 the company merged with Proctor-Silex to form what became the largest U.S. manufacturer of small kitchen appliances, and today it is headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia, outside Richmond. The product line spans blenders, slow cookers, food processors, toasters, air fryers, and coffee makers under the Hamilton Beach and Proctor-Silex names, and the company runs a dedicated commercial division supplying coffee and beverage equipment to bars, restaurants, and hotels.
In our own testing for office breakroom use, the pattern that stands out is no-pod, dual-format brewing at a price point procurement can approve without a review cycle: a 12-cup carafe and a single-serve station sharing one machine, both running on ground coffee instead of recurring pod costs.

Why we recognized Hamilton Beach
The DeskRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Hamilton Beach earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, used at a real desk, and judged on merit.
Hamilton Beach products we rated highly
Hamilton Beach 2-Way Coffee Maker 49980RG
A dual-brew design pairs a 12-cup carafe with a 14 oz single-serve side, each with its own water reservoir, so one machine covers both a morning pot and on-demand individual cups. Neither side takes pods, which removes recurring pod costs and plastic waste entirely. At 53,713 ratings and a 4.5-star average in our review data, it carries the deepest review pool of any ground coffee machine we tested for this category, and AutoPause & Pour lets the first person in grab a cup mid-brew without dripping onto the warming plate.

- A dedicated commercial division serving bars, restaurants, and hotels, alongside the consumer line, which speaks to equipment built for duty cycles heavier than a home kitchen.
