About Felix Gray
Felix Gray was founded in 2016 and is based in New York City, building a line of blue light glasses alongside reading glasses, prescription glasses, sunglasses, and kids' frames. The company's lens technology embeds blue light filtration inside the lens rather than as a surface coating or tint, developed in collaboration with ophthalmologists and tuned toward the roughly 455-nanometer wavelength range associated with digital screens and LED lighting. Felix Gray says it has sold more than 500,000 pairs.
Independent coverage has generally praised the fit and finish over the science: Reviewed's hands-on test of the Faraday frame found it comfortable through a full day of wear, with no visible color distortion when looking at a screen, something cheaper tinted lenses often introduce. That matches what we saw testing the same frame for our own roundup: a genuine acetate eyewear build with anti-reflective coating on both sides of the lens, not a plastic computer-glasses look.

Why we recognized Felix Gray
The DeskRated Top Brand recognition isn't paid for and can't be applied for. We award it to the brands whose products consistently stand out in our hands-on category reviews. Felix Gray earned it on the strength of the products below, evaluated the same way every product on this site is: bought, used at a real desk, and judged on merit.
Felix Gray products we rated highly
Felix Gray Faraday Blue Light Glasses, Sazerac, Non-Prescription
Built with CR-39 optical-grade lenses, the same material used in prescription eyewear, and an anti-reflective coating on both sides that cuts glare from the screen and from light behind you. The wide square acetate frame (53-17-145) reads as a genuine pair of eyeglasses on video calls rather than a plastic computer accessory, and a hydrophobic coating sheds smudges and water between wipes. It ships with a case and cloth included.

- Proprietary lens technology that embeds blue light filtration inside the lens itself, developed with ophthalmologists and tuned to the peak wavelength range of digital screens, rather than a surface coating or dye
- A wide acetate frame construction that reads as genuine eyewear on camera, with a hydrophobic coating that sheds smudges and water between cleanings
- More than 500,000 pairs sold, by the company's own figures
