About bloom daily planners
bloom daily planners was founded in 2010 in Newark, Delaware by Michelle Askin and Kaylyn DiNardo, upon graduating from the University of Delaware. What began as a line of classic daily planners has grown into a full catalog of academic, undated, and specialty planners, desk and wall calendars, planning pads, and paper accessories, designed by a small, mostly women-run team around one idea: using a planner as a real tool, not just a place to write dates.
The brand has earned recognition beyond its own storefront: it was named a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Top 100 Small Business of 2025, and won Amazon's Force for Good Award with a $50,000 grant at Amazon Accelerate in November 2024. bloom has also donated more than $4 million in free products to schools, shelters, and community organizations, including thousands of empowerment planners given each year to women in prison. In our own testing, what stands out is the paper — both of the bloom products we feature use noticeably thicker stock, 110 to 128gsm, than most calendars and plan books in the same category, which is exactly the kind of detail that shows up after months of daily use, not on a spec sheet.
